Trump released a statement in the wake of the USA's 4-3 victory in the third-place play-off, referring to the leaders of the team as "wokesters" while refusing to congratulate them for even getting on the podium.

"If our soccer team, headed by a radical group of leftist maniacs, wasn't woke, they would have won the gold medal instead of the bronze," his statement read.

"Woke means you lose, everything that is woke goes bad, and our soccer team certainly has. There were, however, a few patriots standing.

"Unfortunately, they need more than that respecting our country and national anthem. They should replace the wokesters with patriots and start winning again.

"The woman with the purple hair played terribly and spends too much time thinking about radical left politics and not doing her job!"

She can be as woke as she wants, as far as I'm concerned. I just don't want to hear any whining from her, or others who suffer the same outcome, when their sponsors make a business decision to no longer use them as a spokesperson for their product.

The issue you're protesting is either important enough to you to risk losing your sponsorships, or STFU.

She has that freedom, just as people have the freedom to no longer eat at Subway, and Subway has the freedom to find a spokesperson who can generate more revenue for them.

Freedom and capitalism... going hand in hand. It's a beautiful thing!

Subway has a poor history of spokesmen. First Jered now this one. Perhaps they should try a woman for a change.
