Well, fun fact: that's actually why Paul Revere likely DIDN'T shout "the British are coming" through towns that were roughly 80% loyal to the crown.

So in other words - you're just saying it might not be historically accurate , because you're projecting what you think would have been likely, onto history...

Fun Fact: when you use the phrase "likely" instead of "actually" you're talking about a Fun Opinion. Not a fun fact.

Fun Fact: Riding through towns that are loyal to the crown - on a horse moving at horse speed wouldn't matter, because the speed at which he travelled and times of day he travelled yelling it, would have had no kind of repercussion to him. No one was tweeting to the next town down that the separationist scum just ran through town.

Right, JR is under the impression that as late as the 18th Century, night watch patrols in towns never quite got the hang of catching people riding away on a horse.

What? You have NO idea who was on what side in that war, do you?

I know what type of people fought it for us and won. Was folks like night patrol, ship workers, farmers, small business owners ... Support was way more than 30 percent. But until it went down - it had to be hush hush bc of being citizen to Brittain and potentially being executed for treason.

We didn't win our independence because 30 percent of our population wanted it. We won because more folks than not wanted it and fought for it.

Geeze what kind of BS rewrite of history you trying to sell? Go be a communist puppet elsewhere.

It wasn't, it was about 30% and most of them were centralized in the cities! There was an enormous refugee crisis after the war as crown loyalists were expelled from the new nation! I don't know who taught you history but you were likely just not paying attention.

I'm saying BS in your 30 percent because NOBODY was taking POLLS about such things. It's all freaking speculation you're presenting. Again - go back to England or Scotland or wherever your lineage came from spreading misinformation like that

Only people against making a new nation were the rich elites, who were making quite a bit of money through imports. When and if they called for a night brute squad to see what's amiss, the people revolutionizing the country responded with a "we know, and?" Response.

Except to the Left the 'elites' were Jefferson, Washington, Franklin, etc. . .ya know. . .the people that risked their lives and reputation for freedom. . .easy to forget that even during the War they were British Citizens still bound to the Empire's laws which included executing traitors.

Yeah, no, not at all. Support for independence was about 30%.

Revised estimates are Only about 20% were loyal to the crown the rest were either patriots or undecided. In the end the Patriots were successful in selling their cause over the loyalists to the undecided. No one will ever know for sure because there is no exact number just estimates. We won and the rest is history. We will win again over the America haters as well.
