Teach your children if the teacher ever says not to tell your parents it’s because they are doing something they shouldn’t and they need to tell someone.

The parent is requesting access to people's emails, not just the curriculum.

The emails would be about curriculum and should be available by law

so theres two parts here, so why are they still denied access to the curriculum?

They aren't suing because she asked to see the curriculum, they are suing because she made over 200 requests for access to information which included the contents of people's emails.

They are suing to protect their individual privacy rights.

Public employees have no privacy to emails about their work

I agree in principle, but the intention of the person making the request is clearly to harass the public employees concerned because she doesn't agree with the content they have been employed to teach.
