People assault and kill for every reason under the sun or, for absolutely no reason at all. Last summer and throughout the rest of the year and into June of 2021, there have been quite a few just plain ol' folks of every stripe who were assaulted and murdered just for being Conservative or Trump supporters. But then again, we KNOW the reason for that.

Besides, this isn't the slippery slope that you want to go sledding on. Everyone will start demanding special protections. When everyone gets a trophy to spare their feelings, then trophies have no value any more. This is no different. Legislation won't save the weak minded from being weak minded. If you manage to ensure that LGBTQRSTUVWXYZ people can't be fired, employers just won't hire them.

Yeeaahhhh....more Blacks are being murdered everyday than gays are in a year or two.
More cops are being murdered everyday then gays in a year.
