Defund means take away. Not voting to give more because the bill has undesirable strings attached is not the same as defund.

This is laughable given the left's absolute demand to defund the police.

Later, Democrats try to accuse Republicans of "defunding the police".

Frankly it was a pathetic 'damned if do, damned if you don't.' If the Republicans passed it, then Dems would have ended eroding more of our right while wasting our money while the GOP got another black eye or don't vote for the bill and here we are - getting blamed for something the GOP never did while the dems did.

I would like to know as well. While it's never stimulating reading - so much so that politicians who are supposed to KNOW what they're voting on rarely do - I read through the bills people screech about. There are, more often than not, nested bullshit in the bill that make them unviable. Much like the first draft of the infrastructure bill.

Exactly. All too often I see people screeching about a bill without actually reading it. Like the Georgia voting bill. Or the 800 page "for the people"
