I haven't been lazy. On the contrary, I've spent hours looking over gun related violence in anticipation of either backing up your claim or discrediting it. First of all, I want you to know that your meme makes perfect sense to me. I just want you to back up your claims as they may seem extraordinary to people who actually need the convincing. I'm not among them. However, I'm also not going to upvote something that potentially has made up statistics in it.
From what I've been able to find, part of it is actually true. We did see an increase in about 5000 gun related violence in the US in 2020, half of those were suicides. So, your numbers of 2000 is not entirely inaccurate. Where I suspect you are wrong, or rather have inserted your personal opinion, is where you say 99% of the police shootings were justified. I've not been able to find any conclusive data that supports that claim other than wishful thinking.
It's not a hard ask to ask for sources. I realize there are people who are intellectually dishonest and use it as a way to waste your time and I can understand how I might come off as one of those people. Regardless, you don't win by letting them intimidate you into hiding your sources. They win by successfully discrediting you solely on your lack of accountability. It makes you look like you're making everything up. True, there will be dozens of people who are going to blindly accept your numbers and upvote your meme simply because they agree with your sentiment but as anyone should know, the court of popular opinion is irrelevant to the facts.
Which was all I was asking for.
Thank you.
