The court took the fentanyl evidence into account and still found Chauvin guilty of murder via Chauvin's means of restraint.
If true to form, you will claim "fake news" or "legislating from the bench" or any damn thing to exempt Chauvin from responsibility.
But in additon to the court's decision, the nation "saw what it saw" and was properly outraged by Chauvin's behavior.
During sentencing, Judge Peter Cahill wrote in a 22 page memorandum, that two aggravating factors warranted a harsher sentence -- that Chauvin "abused his position of trust or authority" and treated Floyd with "particular cruelty." Chauvin, the judge wrote, treated Floyd "without respect and denied him the dignity owed to all human beings."
Cahill said the former officer "objectively remained indifferent to Mr. Floyd's pleas' even as Mr. Floyd was begging for his life."
You will believe what you want to believe, but your beliefs are simply wrong.
Nothing and noone is perfect. But the U.S. court system has always been responsible for a disproportionately large measure of what makes America great.
On the other hand, you - and all members of The Cult - would "make America great again" by validating whatever opinions you hold.
Such radical subjectivity is a certain route to chaos - from sea to shining sea.
You don't see this.
You can't see this.
And you won't see this.
Even so, I will leave you with a few clues:
