Its a form of derangement syndrome. Derangement syndrome is where something triggers an episode where the patients normal perceptions are skewed and deranged.
As an example:
"Trump is building a wall"
Normal response: "I don't like that. I think it will negatively affect people that are legitimately seeking asylum."
TDS: "Raycist!!!!"
