I love how some idiots in these comments actually defend a criminal over an officer.

Here are some facts for the “innocent 13 year old kid”

- Officers responded to a detection of gunshot(s) in the area

- They identified two suspects; a 21 year old ‘Latin Kings’ gang member and 13 year old Toledo

- He had a gun; officer was chasing a fleeing suspect down a dark alley and spotted Toledo drawing a weapon with his dominant hand

- the officer had .8 of a second to make the decision of returning home safe to his family at the cost of someone else’s life

It doesn’t pay to be a criminal - end of story.

Yes - criminals have the “right” to due process. An officer has the right to return home safely to their family, too.

So all of you non-police officers with your shit opinions - get your facts straight.

OK follow the steps morons...

1. There is a law in place that you must be 21 to own a handgun.
2. If you are under 21 and own a handgun then you are breaking the law.
3. Adam Toledo was under 21 and owned a handgun. Therefore, he was breaking the law.
4. He doubled down on that by resisting, not complying, and threatening police officers.

You keep flying right past the fact that all of these criminals are breaking the law, murder, assault, criminal possession of a firearm.

Cops are allowed to do what they have to in order to neutralize a serious threat, regardless of the age of the threat. A gun was involved and the response is to shoot (in this case she believed she was grabbing her tazer, allegedly) and neutralize the suspect before they're shooting at them.

The number one take out of this is she was improperly trained and the training of police officers need to be better. There is absolutely no evidence this was racially motivated. I see no evidence she shot him because he was black. That is absurd.

To protect and serve. That is what their duty is. He was deemed a threat. A threat shoots off guns in the air and around the neighborhood at 3am. THAT IS A THREAT. It is a threat to average citizens and it is a threat to the police officers involved.

It truly is amazing the level of gaslighting and complete absurdity coming from the left. On one hand you have "guns are a threat to all Americans when law abiding citizens own them, therefore they should not own guns." Then on the other hand you have a gang banger shooting his gun off randomly in the city at 3am and suddenly it isn't a threat.

Okay, maybe you're willing to go out and apprehend these gang bangers without a gun or a tazer (because apparently tazers are lethal weapons when used on black people, too). You know, just talk to them while they're pointing the gun at you and pulling the trigger.

Except this kid wasn’t extrajudicially executed. He was a threat to public and police and was shot for it, sadly. I guess you COULD see that as an “execution” if you want, but I think it’s important to use words correctly.
