We need more than 2 parties. People seem to be put in a box with a R or D and they think they are for them so the parties give them stuff so they keep voting for them.

yeah voting for the lesser of the 2 evils never works out well. plus everyone thinks 3rd parties are spoilers, but giving a major party 1 more vote has just as much effect as giving a 3rd party 1 vote. if a smaller party divides more support from a bigger one, then it could persuade that party to improve their policies to get those 3rd party voters to support them.
