Adam's fall.

But the question is, did God allow time to flow before that point?
I mean, I'm sure God made time flow long before that point but still, wouldn't you think he made some sort of time barrier(s)?

Also, wouldn't this create a paradox?? The knowledge of good and evil and sin follows US wherever we go; only through God may he cleanse it, but, if we were to time travel and prevent Eve from being deceived and taking Adam with her, shouldn't our consciousness of sin also poison the Earth??

I'm thinking too deep into this without any actual knowledge of time-paradoxes. Then again, preventing Adam and Eve's fall would trigger a MASSIVE grandfather paradox(basically Back To The Future kind of stuff).

Wasn't that during the 50s or 60s?? I feel like it was a LONG time ago, but I don't think it's recent either

Oh, it's happening right now again, it's just a matter of time before we change bananas again. But that's monoculture for you.

I would make sure John F Kennedy didn’t die. We could be living in space apartments if it was for that.

I don't think it's wise to mess with history. At all.
So I will choose something inconsequential, like... what I ate for lunch yesterday.

Meddling in time is always dangerous, you could end up erasing yourself or your whole world. You never know what one thing different could become. Besides, everything happened for a reason and I believe it was inevitable.
So I wouldn't change a thing.

I'm going to assume you don't mean "personal history." All the things within "public history" that I would change happened in my lifetime and mostly has to do with U.S. politics... And that's all I'm going to say because I'm not interested in getting into a political debate.

Wipe out the creators of the cancel culture.

Today's "cancel culture" has a long long pedigree, stretching back to the dawn of human civilization. Unless you're aiming to wipe out the term "cancel culture," and not all forms of ostracism and boycotting, it will just develop again with time and a new name.

I was only thinking of the current incarnation of frivolous mass hysterical censorship, but I like how you've expanded it to include all of human history. I'd be busy for centuries.

Your analysis, however, does shed light onto a depressing fault in the human condition. The need for absolute control. Sounds tyrannical, I know. So, having said that, the question the poster proposed is entirely an exercise in futility for wiping out one bad thing in history is akin to weeding a flower bed. You can pull out one weed, but another similar or identical weed will spring up elsewhere, later.

My point is to think more broadly on the point of ostracism and boycotting in general. In one sense, it's a form of socially enforced censorship, but in another sense, it is itself a form of speech. The "cancel culture" phenomenon isn't a new one; it's gone through several iterations under different guises to different ends. Some have been for the betterment of society and others to its detriment.

I think this iteration bristles against the sensibilities of some because it has created an environment of fear for gen xers, and baby boomers. They simply are not entirely sure what is "okay" to say anymore. As a gen xer, I get that. However, I also see that this is being used as a wedge issue - a political "culture war" issue. The discussion has been distorted through the use of strawman arguments.

The truth is? Some of those "canceled" individuals did truly horrific things. Bill Cosby is one such example. I grew up with Bill Cosby - I now can't listen to his stand-up without being creeped out. I will agree that there are some extreme examples of "cancel culture." However, the majority of those extreme examples are being "canceled" preemptively by companies in their respective industries - and not because of social media protests.

Instead of looking at this phenomenon as a homogenous monolithic effort by a few whiney millennials and gen zs, we need to take a step back and see the forest for the trees. Who is making the decisions based in response to what pressures and for what reasons? Then we can get down to how to truly understand this phenomenon and address the extreme examples in a productive and reasonable manner.
