The left also says, when it comes to abortion, my body my choice. But try that in a business owned by a liberal.

Are you literally equating a human being to a business-

Try to follow along. I’ll go slow. I’m assuming you’re a teacher in Oakland or Baltimore.

Liberals rationalize abortion by saying “my body, my choice.” They tell conservatives that they can do what they want with their own bodies, and regardless of whether or not their own decision leads to the death of a child growing inside them. Liberals tell us that they (and they alone) have ultimate control over their own bodies.

Now, imagine a liberal-owned candle shop that has a mask requirement to enter. Furthermore, imagine a conservative trying to enter said candle store without a mask. Liberal owner tells conservative to put a mask on and conservative responds with “my body, my choice.” Do you think the liberal owner will say, “Great point! Please enter without a mask, regardless of whether or not your decision leads to the death of someone inside. You and you alone have ultimate control over your own body”?

It’s not just your body you’re putting at risk, if you get Covid you could spread it to others too

If you’re afraid to get Covid, keep your ass at home. If your afraid to get pregnant, keep your legs closed.

Except that never happened and Jason Miller is still fighting to have his libel claim heard in the appellate court. Abortion is wrong. Period.

It did happen. He also lied about his job to avoid paying child support. Republican family values.

I should be able to do what I want with my business, as long as I am not murdering someone or something. I can choose to not make something for you if I want to.

Actually, the baker in Oregon. was arrested and charged with a crime as the city tried to force him to make the cake. He won in the Supreme Court, but the city did arrest and fine him. He is now being sued again for refusing to make a Transgender cake.

Oh, good to know. But it’s important to note that not all leftists have this perspective.

They’re not being homophobic though, it’s just their religious beliefs prevent them catering to a same sex wedding. Let me just ask you this, if the business owner was a devout Muslim and still refused service to a gay couple because of his religious beliefs, would you havr said anything against the Muslim business owner or kept your mouth shut fearing you’d be labeled an Islamophobe?

This situation is different. I don’t know about the Muslim religion, so I can’t really say anything about that, but I do know that Christianity is not against the lgbtq+ community. I know this because what the Bible said was wrong was a MINOR sleeping with an adult, they just happened to be the same gender and people use that to justify their homophobic beliefs.
2 ups, 3y
Ekky, I do believe that the Torah does contain some homophobic passages -- but, that is a part of its historical context (the homophobia those particular ancient scribes had been taught), not something that devout Jews or Christians in the modern day should carry on.
And of course, if Christian bakeries are not allowed to discriminate, then Muslim, Jewish, Hindu and atheist bakers should be treated the same.
By the same token, who wants to go to a wedding baker who will be all judgy? "You're too old to get married, I won't make a cake." "You're too young, too fat, to unattractive by my standards . . ." That person's negative attitude should put them out of business fast enough in the age of Yelp.

Actually this is incorrect.

God and the Bible have always specifically been against homosexuality:

Leviticus 20:13 (Old Testament)
"If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a women, both have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."

Romans 1:26,27 (New Testament)
"For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their woman change the natural use into that which is against nature:"
"And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet."

Yes, they did. They brought him to court, charged him for a crime...He won, but now, the LGBTQ+ community is intentionally going there to ask him to make a p**is on a cake. He is now being sued.

Of course no one should be forced to bake cakes in their private business. I feel bad for the couple that wanted only loving thoughts for their wedding, though.

The problem was the cake owner thought a gay cake was against his faith and got arrested for it. So much for freedom of religion
0 ups, 3y
Interesting! I was just reading up on it, and he was NOT arrested, but he was ordered to bake the cake (and to conduct anti-discrimination training in his business). And that seemed wrong to me, but what if he had refused to make cakes for interracial couples, or for May-December weddings, or for fat people? Are all those acceptable discrimination, or not?
Still guessing that his cakes are as bitter as his prejudice.

Go to a business that is fine with your lifestyle choices.

But guess what, being lgbtq+ isn’t a “lifestyle choice”. It’s something we’re born as. You make it sound like we can change who we are- we cannot, because it IS NOT A CHOICE.

Females have two X chromosomes and males have one X and one Y chromosome which decides your "gender"

If you are a male then:
your body converts more energy to muscle, you have more red blood cells, you have larger hearts larger lungs and more muscle mass, higher testosterone, etc

If you are a female then:
your body converts more energy to fat, you have more white blood cells, your body produces antibodies quicker, higher estrogen and progesterone, etc

I will not mention the other obvious differences that we all know for the sake of NSFW.

This said gender isnt based on how you feel about yourself (which is quite literally what your "gender" system suggest). You can only be a man or a woman when your born which does make it a "lifestyle choice" if you decide to be a transgender homosexual etc.

To show what I mean by "based on how you feel about yourself" with these "genders" I will list a couple to make this point.

"Surgender: having a gender that is 100% one gender but with more of another gender added on top of that."

"Multigender: the feeling of having more than one simultaneous or fluctuating gender; simultaneous with multigender and omnigender."

"Colorgender: a gender associated with one or more colors and the feelings, hues, emotions, and/or objects associated with that color; may be used like pinkgender, bluegender, yellowgender."

"Vapogender: a gender that sort of feels like smoke; it can be seen on a shallow level but once you go deeper, it disappears and you are left with no gender and only tiny wisps of what you thought it was."

that's a good point too, but perspicacity is right in saying that the gov't is saying "private business" is the issue.
