that is the root for the problem, but a little too late now, we been letting that go for way too many years, no one stood up, and now that 1% is running the nation as a result. They are in power and protected.

That’s Kaepernick’s stats. Notice the decrease in wins later on in his career.

Kaepernick also sucked as a player.

Let's say the Pepe le Pew incident was the first and whatever 1% was not yet "in power and protected" as you say it is...

What would standing up against it look like? What would you do in this specific instance to not cater to the 1%?

For your info, it is not the first incident of catering to people who are trying to cancel culture with the excuse that they are offended. So let me stop you right there.

What standing up will look like, it can be a simple telling those people who are trying to cancel culture "NO, we are not gonna accept your shit, go away"

Uh... Ya. I was saying theoretically.

You seemed to be saying the 1% is already in power because they've been allowed to do this for years so resistance is futile..... I was saying like... Let's pretend this was the first time and they were not in power. What would that look like in this specific instance?

My understanding was originally whoever is making the movie Space Jam 2 decided to not include the quasi-rapey skunk allegedly because of a handful of people on twitter.. and I found a tweet about pepe but apparently Warner Bros or whoever made the decision to remove Pepe from the movie did so months prior to the tweet.... So idk.. it seems like to fight that decision, you would be fighting the movie director/producers(?) idk

At this point is the solution is to fighting this cancel culture people who are using the excuse of being offended. The best we can do is not support them. Not to watch their movies, not buying their products and not to use their social media apps. That will be a fantastic start. Let then go broke and see if the 1% can sustain them. Problem is that people just dont want to get out their confort zone and will be conditioned as a result. You will see many people complaining, yet they are still gonna watch Space Jam 2 and still using Facebook and Tweeter because their life will end if they stop. I stopped using Facebook since the beginig of this year and still alive, I can testify that is a myth dying from getting away from your confort zone.

You seem to be missing my point.

If the reality of the whole thing with Pepe was a director that decided to cut him months prior to the twitter outrage, is this still an example of "cancel culture"?

If it isn't, boycotting it because of the Twitter outrage would seem to look pretty silly.....Unless you're an avid Pepe Le Pew fan and you're simply upset he wasn't in the movie... In which case, it would still seem silly. Lol I don't really plan to watch it anyway because a sequel to an animated basketball movie sounds just about as far from my liking as a movie can get.

Side note: Dave Chappelle called out that quasi-rapey skunk 20 years ago and there is no f*cking way I'm boycotting Dave!

I would argue that social media addiction is more a problem than cancel culture. Speaking in capitalist terms, there is nothing inherently wrong with cancel culture if companies wish to use it to make a product more available. Where I disagree with cancel culture, and I think most people would agree, is when companies dictate what people say and do outside their job. That is dangerous, yes. No one should be fired for having an opinion.

And you are entitled to your opinion. I think cancel culture at the long run will have devastating effects in the nation. We already have plenty of people with identity disorder as is, and that is just one of the many things to come.

"Pepe was NOT INCLUDED,
or the lie Pepe WAS REMOVED..."

He was in Space Jam 1 and they had filmed a scene intended for him in SJ2 but he was removed and therefore not included.

SJ2 director Terence Nance had filmed a scene about 2 years ago for Pepe but he left the production for the movie in July 2019.. Malcom D Lee took over and cut Pepe.. including that scene.

If Pepe is a main character in the original, you'd think he'd be in the sequel. He was not. And as much as y'all cried about Pepe being a victim of muh cancel culturrr, it looks like that wasn't even a factor here.

As I said SJ2 director Terence Nance had filmed a Pepe scene about 2 years ago but Terence ended up leaving the production....... Then Malcom D Lee took over and cut Pepe. Far as I know there's no evidence it had anything to do with anything on Twitter.

The movie changed directors and the new director decided to remove him/not include him in the final movie months before the tweets.

Hmm... Why are you bringing up Potato head? Is he an extra in the new movie? Did you see it already?

Who is catering to who as far as Pepe? I heard they pulled him months before dude was tweeting about him. I'm wondering if they were trying to stay G or PG rated.. If so, I guess they were catering to the rating system.

Yet, here you are. Engaging with them.

I just want you guys to keep your stories straight. Either Trump lost or Biden stole it.

One of these narratives guarantees the Democrats to win again. Care to guess which one?

I never claimed to predict the future. Just human behavior based on narrative drive.

So, I guess I’ll be back when Trump Supporters split the vote between their Libertarian Party, the Patriot Party, the Liberty Party, the American First Party, and the Gold Party and are left a scratching their heads why they lost again. Clearly it was those nasty wasty Democrats and RINOs!

If they vote at all.

I never claimed it wasn’t bullshit.

What was bullshit was how Trump refused to cooperate with the investigation. Making it take far longer than it could’ve yet I understood Trump’s paranoia and trying to use this to rally his base when he could’ve simply taken the stand and been done with it.

But that wouldn’t have been very exciting would it?

Because Republicans don’t want a President who does their job. Just one that agrees with them.

That seems far more moronic to me.
