I'll just reply to that "incomplete" comment. Grammatical is an adjectival predicate (that is, the sentence is in the form of X = Y. Perfectly is an adverb modifying the adjective. So it's like saying "My dog is cute" and then realizing that you want to make it more specific, so you say "My dog is extremely cute." The sentence is perfectly grammatical.

(I know diagramming sentences fell out of favor a couple generations ago, but it's still a useful way of thinking about it.)

It may be grammatically correct, but it implies that he does care, at least a little.

But he is trying to say that he doesn’t care at all, therefore the proper way to say it would be “couldn’t care less”.

BTW, never confuse education with intelligence. You may be ‘educated’, but you obviously aren’t very intelligent, or you would know that the old saying is “I couldn’t care less”.
