Hi Kate, first let me say I think you are a great memer, and I admire you very much. I am sorry you had to endure bad conditions in your homeland. I can only imagine it was terrible, and I'm sure you're right that I would look at this issue differently if I had that experience. But I am glad that you were able to follow your dreams, make it to the USA, and become a top memer! I can also sense you have mixed-feelings about immigrants as well. The thing is we simply can't afford to take in all the world's poor. I'm sure that besides nations south of our border, all those suffering in China, India, and elsewhere wish they could live here too- but that's not possible. In fact, we cannot even support those already here. With the left's constant clamoring for more government handouts, that situation will only get worse. The answer of course, is to strive to build up their lands, try to bring their standards of living UP to ours- not bringing our standards DOWN to theirs, as the Socialists would have us do. By "diseased" I was referring to Covid -(which,if you believe the MSM narritive is the worst thing since the black death). However, now that they got rid of Orangemanbad, we will soon see that narrative reversed, and Covid will soon be relegated to the status of the common cold- mission accomplished. I hope we can have more discussions, as I like your style.
