Not to mention "having autism" is a big trend these days with seemingly everyone mid-twenties and under laying claim to having it.
Such has facilitated some playing victim while some also using it as an excuse to act out.
Back when I was young, I worked with Autistic youth, as a volunteer then also as a job - this being when it was classified as a type of retardation and coincidentally long before it had any cachet. Even the highest functioning couldn't function on social media as these kids do today, and to think how they suffered while nowadays all the kool kidz are high fiving each other on it is beyond sad.
Sure, some genuinely have it, but for all too many it's become an attention getting label to exploit.
Also, while it may make some more vulnerable to bullying, how can that mean that when such happens to others it ain't so bad just because they're not impaired enough to qualify for suffering? The notion is ludicrous and hypocritical, as bullying is still bullying regardless of a self-diagnosis test taken on FB.
