BLM was a response to the disproportionate numbers of blacks being killed, beaten and heavily prosecuted by law enforcement and the courts. It's not an attempt to say black lives matter MORE than other lives. It's a reminder that black lives matter ALSO, like don't forget about us, we exist, we are humans, too.

All Lives Matter, on the other hand, only came about as a white supremacist clapback to BLM, not because the majority of people who say it really believe all lives matter.

We (as a whole, at least in the media) purport ourselves this way. We kill each other and others at higher rates than everyone else. We commit our own genocide from accepting abirtion clinics. We intoxicate and overdose ourselves. We claim the name of Christ (or some god) and live like the devil. Many of us refuse to be educated, especially in history. Heck, we don't even make ourselves look presentable most of the time (there is a difference between an urban or ethnic style and just plain unkempt).

If we can't show ourselves the respect that we should allow ourselves, what makes us think others will.

*I know that Blacks as a whole have gotten way better over the past centuries, and we are, in general more educated than in days past. But if you look around, it seems like you give us the word and we act like rampaging animals, and I'm sick of seeing it while hearing "black lives matter."

I think that this whole thing has an ignored dimension: socio-economic class. It is a complex issue, an intersection of race and class. The African-Americans getting the publicity are those in the lower or bottom socio-economic classes, who tend to present exactly as you describe. Those who have elevated themselves and comport themselves with dignity are discounted as collaborating with the system.

I do not deny that there are some racist "white" people. And I am willing to call them out for it.

Statistically, more quotes in America have been shot and killed by police than any other race, and very rarely have there been cases where they were shot/killed for no reason. Almost all of the cases I have seen, the african americans that were supposedly shot and killed for no reason, were criminals. Such as drug addicts, rapist, child molesters, etc. So why don't you open your eyes for once?

Historically, since before slavery was abolished, blacks have been persecuted in this country for no other reason than the color of their skin. The crime and violence in black communities are a result of over 100 years of socio-economic oppression and abuse by white America.

Police will use lethal force with blacks time after time where they will treat the perp like a human being if they're white. Same goes for the courts: harsher sentences for blacks when whites get off with a slap on the wrist. Look at Lori Loughlin, just got out of prison after 2 mos for bribing her kids' way into USC. Meanwhile a black mom who used her babysitter's address to get her son into a better school got five years in prison.

Your logic is the exact opposite of reality. Black people are not having trouble right now. They can demand anything they want from the media and will get it. Immigrants are not treated better. The black people that died all were criminals and had evil intent. Blake died of a drug overdose. Other men, like Orlando, had a knife, and just came out of his girlfriend's house, whom he had just raped. The list can go on a long time. The media, like CNN, will misconstrue these stories.
