It doesn't universally encourage blind faith. But I call your attention to John 20: 29: "Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen, and have believed."

That is a common misinterpretation of that verse. First off, believing in Jesus is not entirely based on “seeing” Him. If that’s all the proof we went by, we technically have no proof Caesar, Alexander the Great, Emperor Justinian, or any of those people existed.
And what this verse does not include is looking after empirical evidence. It never says that if you look after evidence to find whether it supports His existence, you are cut off from His blessing. It says “Blessed are those who have not ‘seen’”.
And to be honest, Jesus wasn’t correcting Thomas for wanting evidence. The disciples could have seen a demon and he would have been very right to be skeptical. 1 John says “Do not believe the spirits, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God.” Thomas had a problem in his heart that Jesus was correcting.
The book you mentioned, John, is written as an apologetic book; its main difference from the other gospels. While each gospel has its own point about Jesus, it’s point is to defend Jesus’ claims about Himself. It’s meant to convince you of Jesus being the Christ. And Paul was someone who connected Old Testament prophecy to things Jesus did, in ways you wouldn’t imagine naturally. The Bible not only encourages thinking (“Rightly divide the word of truth”), but many of its authors were educated and thinking people.

If there was nothing going on, the Dems would have nothing wrong with investigating the situation.

I’ve never heard anyone say “I got successful from a government handout” but have heard “I got successful by working hard.”
