You can get the answer from any news outlet it's been answered.
If I recall they concluded that it was people who saw mail boxes which were damaged being removed. Circulated photos substantiating ithe removal of boxes were nothing more than the return pile at depots and awaiting refurbishmnet or scraping.
There was no such happening, it occurred in the minds of a few who then spread things as fact.
But go look it up yourself it's faster that way.

I like how everything right-leaning is staged fake news. The Democrats get all kinds of excuses but Republicans don’t. When someone records Trump saying something stupid (not on video), all the Democrats attack Trump for it. But if the same happens with a Democrat, it was staged.
