Real kicker is that democracy-hating fools like you pissed off and scared voters like me so badly that I realized that I needed to take a break from places like this and actually get involved- getting out the vote, phone banking, campaigning- not just voting but working hard, participating, to make absolutely sure Trump would lose.

While your lazy ass ignorantly believed that arguing politics all day long on a meme site is the same thing as being politically involved in our democracy, the rest of us actually got off our asses and won an election.

The choice wasn't between Biden or Trump, it was between putting up or shutting up and being wise enough to know the difference. You clearly don't.

That we get a choice at all, and choose it, is an expression of wisdom. We can't try to steal an election from the other side just because we don't like that they chose Biden.

Here is our chance to show that Christians are not hypocrites. We should respect America's will, we shouldn't undermine democracy with phony claims of election fraud. Rather, we should pray for our new President and that our defeated President finds peace.

As Republicans and Christians, we should pray that Biden succeeds instead of hoping he fails. If President Biden succeeds, we all succeed. May God bless Joe Biden, Donald Trump, and may God bless the United States of America for keeping democracy alive.

England had passed a bill of rights a century before. A major complaint was taxation without representation - colonists were second class citizens. Many of our basic rights were modeled after that. At founding, we didn't guarantee rights to all everyone. All men are created equal...except slaves. They don't count. I'm not disparaging our founding, just not looking at it through rose colored glasses.

Our government has been worked on and improved over time. Freedoms have been guaranteed to more people. Our founding documents and principles are beautiful, but they didn't come from nowhere and they aren't perfect.

Biden and Harris who weren't born wealthy and have worked their way up are supposed to represent the elites, while Trump the Billionaire represents the people? I'm not saying its impossible that that could happen but it isn't what's happening.

Slavery was an issue and compromise was reached. To assume the authors planned for the eventual removal of slavery is also, very revisionist or at least presumed. The "all men are created equal" by slave owners could just as easily been used to say "they owned slaves when they said this, so they obviously didn't mean *them*." Read federalists 54 - slaves are both property and men - men because we count them as population for Congress and President (3/5 compromise) and because we need to be able to punish them for crimes - but as property in all other contexts.
