When they catch fire they burn really good, too

They burn like gasoline. It’s pretty cool to watch.

the material they're made of comes from mines in China, which has no regulations for the safety of the enviornment OR workers, and the toxic waste from them destroys entire ecosystems in a matter of weeks. it is also non-recycleable, meaning landfills will become more and more overrun with parts each time a repair is made. they also take up miles of land, which means miles less land for nature. each turbine kills about 30,000 birds each year, adding up to a total of 3,000,000 dead birds per field.

well, lets stop for a second, I see where you are going at but let me stop you, those windmills will not properly operate if it was not because of the oil that came from those mines in the sea... Where do you think that oil came from? An oil magic faerie fills up the windmills?

And how about the creation of this so called Green Energy production unit? The fuel used to mine the minerals. The energy used to create the components. The chemicals byproducts that need to be disposed.

And this doesn’t even include the miles of conductive lines needed to transport the electricity to the consumer or the thousands of litres of fuel required to perform maintenance or repairs.

That's why a transfer to green energy is not done overnight, but in phases, gradually. Once the infrastructure is set up, the need for oil will be zero.

actually better than wind panels we should use solar energy. A sun blasted enough energy in one day to power the whole planet for a year. Why we aren't harvesting that is beyond me, guess there is no money to be made when it is free. But yeah, you believe in crazy Joe's green deal you are delusional and even more when you try to come up with excuses for a pedophile.

The thing about green energy, is you don't harvest just one type. You harvest it all: Geothermal, Hydro, Solar and Wind. Focusing all efforts on one is a fool's errand. Trump simply focuses on Wind as it's the easiest to attack.

I’d tell you to sit down before you hurt yourself, but in your case, it would probably cause a permanent neck injury.

Ah, the old saying goes... "When you have no argument, insult your opponent." So, here, we see you admitting that you have no argument. Carry on.

Solar is the most abundant, cheapest to collect, and is less invasive to the environment. We can talk about that all day, I may have a few things to teach you, but I am telling you that trusting politicians for it is a flawed argument, they do not have your best intentions in mind neither they care about the environment.

I'm not the sort to put all politicians in a box. There are those who change their views, sellouts to lobbyists, etc. I keep my eye out for those who are consistent in their agendas.

Right, you can't teach stupid, it's something you master. Even if you could teach me, I'd rather you not.

Green energy is a great idea, but like you say the transition should be gradual. I spent over 20 years of my life drilling holes in the Marcellus Shale and I think I’m pretty knowledgeable about the subject. Everybody knows that fossil fuels aren’t going to last forever. That’s a fact and nobody is arguing that. We are told that we need to make a full transition in something like 20 years and to do that democrats are just fine with the idea of cutting off our current infrastructure and forcing everybody to buy solar panels. If it would work I would say fine, but it won’t. It hasn’t yet. Everything that we are doing from wind to solar to wave generators just isn’t enough. Are you willing to give up your power for something that doesn’t work?

The issue isn't whether or not I would. That's a waste of time in rhetorics as the answer should be obvious. The question should be framed around those who aren't ready.

You also forgot to mention hydro-electric dams and Geo-thermal plants.

Hydroelectric is proven technology but it’s limited to places that have large rivers. I researched geothermal when I built my house (I ultimately didn’t do it because the city was giving me fits about drilling permits) and it seems like a good idea for a relatively small investment. I think it would be better used on an individual basis instead of having big plants.

I’m all for these things but they need to happen gradually.
