All the Dems decided to vote against the nominee, before ACB was even nominated.

And yet, they had the collective colossal raisin sacks to criticize republicans who they claimed would vote for the person, without knowing who it would be.

Difference being, Trump tells us who is on his list for scotus. So an intelligent person (I know, excludes dumbocrats) would be able to check them out and reasonably say they would support the nominee, without knowing precisely who it was going to be.

This is not rocket science people, yet the dumbocrats pretend like they can't figure it out. They're either really that stupid, or think we're so stupid as to believe them. Neither option is good.

Ya this is not about Barrett they know they can’t stop it. This lady deserves to be on the court. This is all calculated as a show to win votes.

I've been really impressed with her so far. She's kept incredibly cool through it all, stuck entirely to the law in all her answers and has shown imo a pretty incredible intellect. There's no way she could've prepared for every question she could've been asked, she's got no notes, and yet she can still answer in detail every single question that isn't something that would be improper for her to comment on. Two thumbs up from me so far

It's possible but it still shows bad faith imo. Whatever you think about the timing of the nomination and this confirmation the nominees still deserve respect. They didn't nominate themselves. Honestly from the democrats so far the only one that didn't seem to be operating entirely in bad faith was surprisingly Cory Booker(though I did miss the first bit of his questioning). They're using this as political theater instead of treating it with the respect it's due. The republicans are guilty of it too. Blackburn right now is just on some huge political speech and barely has mentioned Barrett. I don't think she's asked a single question. It's stupid.

Yep she ended her speech with literally not a single question. Dumb. This is supposed to be about the nominee and the politicians on both sides are making it about their elections. I honestly didn't mind at first that we were holding the confirmation so close to the election but I hadn't considered the effect it would have on the senators holding the hearing. I expected another Kavanaugh style shitshow but what we're getting is 15 televised campaign rallies at once
