Providing opportunities to become wealthy in the millionaire or even billionaire range. You see....we are not against wealth. We just feel that extreme wealth while so many suffer is inappropriate. Let Alice Walton make Billions....as long as they have a large percentage at full-time status with $15 to $20 per hour and above par health insurance. She'd still be a billionaire. But today's Capitalism allows for abuses that are unacceptable to 98% of the population.

While the dream of socialism is appealing, all it takes are a couple of corrupt people at the top to ruin everything. Just look at Venezuela. The moment the government has power over people's money, they can take it all away to make themselves rich and make the rest of the population suffer.

But the same exact thing can be said about the abuses of Capitalism. if these are venerable things, then why can't our people in Washington come together and say, "hey...these are venerable things to work towards but we need to figure out how to make it happen and there may have to be compromises."

But that is not going to happen in today's abusive environment. I am just tired of having to pay $200+ per month for my meds ON TOP OF my premiums. I am tired of my Health insurance only covering 70% of a procedure. I am so sick of people losing their jobs or not getting full-time with benefits while their billionaire owners are getting tax breaks, tax refunds and making HUGE profits.

I do believe that there are many things that need to be improved, such as what you pointed out. I just don't believe socialism is the way to go. I think tax needs to be completely reformed, taxing commodities that we buy unnecessarily instead of our income or essentials. I also believe we need to move back to the gold standard and stop printing more money. Our economic system has a long way to go, I don't think anyone can deny that.

You say "Socialism is not the way." But "Socialism" is just a word. Takee the things I said need to be changed and call it whatever you want. Call it chopped herring if you want. What is important is that we work towards change. Change where people on both sides listen and then find a compromise that benefits everyone as best as possible.

Ehy does healthcare have to be labeled as Socialism. Why not implement whatever healthcare plan tRUMPf wants but have a focus on identifying unreasonable charges or coverage denials with companies that are making BILLIONS off of our premiums?

Well, socialism is an economic system, not just a word that means fixing problems. Every economic systems attempts to fix our problems. Socialism is mostly set apart from capitalism by having the government control major industries, which history has shown makes everyone worse off. What we need to do is tweak our current system to improve it as best we can. For example, Mitch Mcconnell has been on the senate for way too long. We really need term limits along with laws to prevent politicians from getting paid by corporations or powerful groups. Term limits would force these lifetime politicians to go back and live under the laws they make. Then, they will have reason to improve it for everyone rather than sabatoge it for their own personal gain, since the laws will affect them too in the end.

Also, the government needs to pull back from insurance. Nobody should be forced to have insurance except for maybe car insurance do if you are responsible for a wreck, the other guy still has a car. However, with health insurance, it only affects you. So, if you are responsible and can set apart money for yourself, you shouldn'tbe forced into being owned by insurance companies that are only driven by profit. Allowing this freedom would also force the insurance companies to get competitive to stay in business, making it a better system for everyone.

On top of this, property tax needs to go bye bye. It's your land. You aren't renting it from the government, so why should they be able to take it from you if you don't constantly lay them?
