judging by what my neighborhood looked like on July 4th, the only thing stopping us from trick-or-treating is a nuclear fallout

That’s why I said “prove that I won’t get COVID.”

How about you and I draw conclusions on November 1st?

nah
4 ups, 4y
Yeah I know. You just want to tell me that I WILL die if I go trick-or-treating. You don’t actually want to prove it.

you're probably just some edgy 19 year old living in his parent's basement, talking shit that you wouldn't even dream of doing

Good job. You won the argument by swearing, assuming my age, and presupposing my social and financial status.

Also known as ad hominem.

Thought provoking meme!

The employees at the McDonald's I went to this week were wearing face shields and gloves. Think I'll wear a hazmat suit for handing out Halloween candy this year :)
[deleted]
1 up, 4y
giving candy with a hazmat suit sounds safe ig

3 ups, 4y,

lol, what difference does it make if they're adults or not? And you do know that a lot of the people who work there aren't legally adults, right?

Ya know, usually I can at least see what it is you're thinking to see where you went wrong, but this....I don't even know what point you're trying to make.

Halloween isn't a real holiday? Whew, you continue to astound me with such ignorance.

And even if it wasn't, what would that change?
[deleted]
2 ups, 4y
yeah Halloween wasnt made for children to frolick with cativies
1 up, 2y
It's only a real holiday if the Feds get the day off. [sarcasm]
1 up, 4y,

What are Christmas and Thanksgiving then? Just something to get things and eat food?
[deleted]
2 ups, 4y
Yeah if it was then i would never see people singing Christmas stuff, putting up Christmas trees, and shit
1 up, 4y
And it's cavities, not cativies
1 up, 4y,
1 reply
Oh, you mean like people decorate their houses for halloween or dress up?
[deleted]
2 ups, 4y
yeah dressing up and putting decorations of ghosts has almost nothing to do with the old halloween
1 up, 4y
Man, how are you so smart!
1 up, 4y,
1 reply
Oh yes, now you're concerned about the children's uh....cativies? It's cavities and it's not your place to outlaw sugar or whatever to prevent them.
[deleted]
2 ups, 4y
Yeah not really, what im saying is halloween isnt a big part of the year, it can be skipped, just go to target
1 up, 4y,
1 reply
Ohhhhhhhhhh, I see. YOU think that cause children aren't a part of the workforce (as a result of child labor laws) you think that they should not participate in any kind of event or holiday with other people.

Yeah, that's stupid XD
[deleted]
2 ups, 4y
yeah not really, Halloween isnt even a real holiday and is an excuse for dentists to get payed,
1 up, 4y,
1 reply
Oh, so now we get to decide what people do for holidays now do we?
[deleted]
2 ups, 4y
It was literally made for kids to get cativies, if it wasnt for that, and people did actual things, then it would be a real holiday
[deleted]
2 ups, 4y,

and please do not tell me you are arguing that kids have more safety then adults with this topic

Do you know how the immune system works? It's not like infants/toddlers are going out
[deleted]
2 ups, 4y,
5 replies
yeah i know how the immune system works, what im saying is that adults will wear a mask more, hand sanitize, and wear gloves more and be more mindful about covid
2 ups, 4y,
1 reply
lol, masks

Yeah, kids have parents ya know, they can give them hand sanitizer or gloves if they think they need them
[deleted]
2 ups, 4y
Yeah most kids go alone or with friends, and i thought adults had worse immune system?

2 ups, 4y
who would you trust more with a mcdonalds meal, a mcdonalds employee, or a 12 year old
1 up, 4y,
1 reply
lol, depends what part. Are they making it or handing it to me?

And how is that relevant?
[deleted]
2 ups, 4y
so you trust a 12 year old more then a mcdonalds worker, on handling your food?
1 up, 4y,
1 reply
I wasn't implying that they necessarily had to go with them

Once you get old enough yes
[deleted]
2 ups, 4y
i have one question, who would you trust with your mcdonalds meal? A 12 year old, or a mcdonalds worker?
1 up, 4y
Depends which kid it is

We already know that less than 1% of people will be hospitalized with it at any age. We also know that most people (that is age 50 or less) will have a 0.03% chance of dying from it. You only need 70-90% immunity to have herd immunity.

If herd immunity were a solution, any virus wouldn't exist.

Solution is investment on kill the virus like South Korea is doing.

Less money is wasted in killing the virus than in letting it work

You need to do some studying on how the immune system works and on how corona viruses work.
Your body fights of corona viruses all the time and by doing that they record the viruses signature and then fight off anything that match it very easily. Once you do that you are immune until it mutates enough that it doesn't have the same signature. I'm simplifying it for you.

Corona viruses mutate and then spread because it no longer matches the signature in our immune systems.

Herd immunity is when the most vulnerable are protected because the virus has no way of spreading to them through contact with others of the same species. It usually takes between 70% and 90% natural (not artificial) immunity among animals in the same herd.

That's the same one linked earlier and it doesn't reveal anything because covid-19 is not nearly as deadly as they claim.

Once again the CDC itself admits 0.03% death rate and that the hospitals would not be flooded, so your link is fake news.

I respect that you want to keep your dangerous ideas. Cheap excuses not need.
