I read (and you know how reliable that can be) that the FDA withdrew hydroxychloroquin as an approved treatment for covid19 due to the limited and questionable survey of use by the VA. That would be a national ban on its use as a specific treatment for covid. There are doctors who are prescribing it successfully, but at the risk of their license to practice if the FDA choses to prosecute. Kind of like orthopedic and oncologists being prosecuted for prescribing too many pain killers. Fauci insists that he needs more human lab rats to get the numbers before his stamp of approval.
