as long as one can act mature I don't see very much of a problem
but of course there has to be age restrictions, it's the same as Reddit or Discord or basically any social media

I think it does, although there is not much in place (other than parental oversight that I'm sure does not happen much) to keep young people from viewing more mature content here. I dont know how that would be better controlled, but it would start with age restrictions on memebership (see what I did there?), which again is as easy to bypass as a "are you over 18" button on a site that advertises tobacco or firearms. I've seen users as young as 8yo on here, which not only breaks terms of service but is just way too young for kids to have free reign on teh interwebz period.

There is always NSFW, but like kids today are just really messed up. I know this from experience, because today I am meeting 8 year olds and sometimes 5 year olds talk about some really inappropriate things. There are some kids that already have somewhat of a political view or advantage.
The kids already on Imgflip are mainly the ones on here, and practically come up with the best memes.
But the age of Imgflip is something that I dont know the explanation too.

Well I mean NSFW content. Basically anything that kids shouldn't be talking about, like s*x and other things.

That's a good point, I've heard of users that have left Imgflip because of perceived excessive NSFW content.

Imgflip doesn't create content though, users create it and submit it to the Community. NSFW content on Imgflip is owned by the creator that submits those images, they are ultimately responsible for marking it NSFW.

If a user fails to do that, the community or Moderators can take action via image or comment flagging.

Depending on the topic, yes. But then again, if kids are mature enough, they can go into adult topics.

Well, some kids are mature, and some are not. I feel like anyone 10 or older, with parents consent, should be allowed on. (That is if they are mature and the parents fully trust them) This is just my opinion though.

Other than the 13 year age requirement, it really depends on the maturity level of the kid.

Fun fact that sort of relates to this: The terms of service say you need to be 13 to use this website, but I first found and used this website when I was 11. Except I didn't really look at other people's memes and make an account, I just made my own idiotic stuff never even submitted it in the fun stream. But when I was 13, I actually decided to make an account, which is why I'm here now.
