Some people hate furries ‘cause they just don’t get it. They see folks in animal suits or drawing human-like animals and think it’s weird or creepy. A lot of that comes from online stereotypes that make the whole fandom look bad, especially the ones that focus on the sexual side, which is actually a small part of it. Others just like to hate on stuff that’s different or “cringe,” especially when it gets popular. Some people can’t stand how confident or expressive furries are about what they love, ‘cause it reminds them they don’t have that same freedom. Really, most of the hate comes from misunderstanding and judging something without ever trying to see what it’s actually about.
