New media matters talking point, huh?

I don't know new media matters. I'm a Portland lawyer who is losing sleep over our lawless President. I value all "The Amendments," not just the 2d. The 1st and 4th are damn good, too.

In that case, how can you look at stones trial and think that was kosher?

Well, it's cool you support the amendments, unlike our other lawyer friend here.

Nice deflection but you've made it more than clear that you don't support the first two.

There are multiple correct answers here

Heck I will give full credit if you name me just one Amendment that bans what Derek Chauvin did

(When it comes to Con Law, I grade on a curve for conservatives who have never been to law school)

As for Amendments 1 & 2 — I just reject batty modern right-wing interpretations of them

I generally side with what SCOTUS has said about them over a period of 2+ centuries. Only decision that comes to mind I’m not really okay with is DC v. Heller (2008).

How come you never post the one with the black guy holding down the old white man he is robbing in New York?

You don’t lose sleep over the repeated attempts to destroy public property? What are they protesting?

I was told that by freeing Blago, Trump was going to nab the scalps of dozens more corrupt Dems

How’s that working out?
2 ups, 4y,

Idk, ask bill Barr. Hopefully he's developing a thorough case. With all the Dems corruption, like buying a faked foreign dossier in order to open a fake investigation into foreign collusion to undo a legally elected president, it'll probably take some time.

Fine by me

37 indictments, 7 convictions, 5 prison sentences. Yeah, rewriting the entire history of the Mueller probe is going to take some time — although as we’ve seen a couple times already, Trump can snap his fingers at any point and flush all the hard work of these career prosecutors down the toilet in service of his buddies.

Will there be any October surprises out of this corrupt and hyperpartisan DOJ?

We’ll see!

Indictments mean absolutely nothing.

Who were the 5 who were jailed and how did they collude with Russia?

Yes, Mueller certainly did work hard. Two years and over 10,000 interviews, yet came up with ZERO dirt on Trump.

So? Is Trump totally clean or was Mueller incompetent?

Debunked. Check the flight logs. Never went to the island.

Furthermore, Bill Clinton is constitutionally ineligible to ever serve as President again and he hasn’t held the office for 19.5 years. HRC is out of politics for good.

He’s a private citizen. You want him? Have him. It’s been your move for two whole Republican administrations.

Final thought: If liberals kept bringing up Trump 19.5 years after he left office, what would you call that?

Some kind of derangement syndrome perhaps?

Yup because if there was any dirt on him they would have used it b4 he got elected and not to mention the Amy Robach story would have never been killed.

They would have sacrificed 100 Bill Clintons and 100 Hollywood pervs to get Trump

Who's being arrested while innocent? You attack federal buildings, the feds have the right to arrest you as it isn't peaceful protesting.

Stone, who I don't even care for, was scooped up in a phony investigation and had the head jurist tweet out anti stone and anti Trump tweets during the trial, after CNN was leaked the arrest, more soldiers them took out Osama

Sorry hit post by mistake

And the judge denied stone his right to defend himself publicly. This was a political witch-hunt and deserved at least a retrial as the head jurist was clearly biased. So good for Trump. If Hillary can get off after being proved to delete 30 thousand emails under subpoena, using a private illegal email server while passing classified Intel through it and smashing her phones with a hammer and bleaching them, then it's hard to imagine stone dying in jail for meaningless bullshit.

"Who's being arrested while innocent?"

According to you Roger Stone.

What did stone do again to have a swat team pull machine guns on him like he was a violent criminal and a threat???

He was charged on one count of obstruction of justice, five counts of false statements, including lying to Congress, and one count of witness tampering.

He was convicted on all seven counts and required a Presidential pardon to be released.

Now, what did these people do to be pulled over in unmarked vans?
1 up, 4y
He didn't get a pardon, he got a commuted sentence so he can now criminally prosecute the judge.

You mean convicted by a head jurist that was completely biased? So screening jurists should no longer be done? Gee, you sound like someone who thinks the end justifies the means.

Still haven't answered why a swat team was necessary to bring Stone in. Funny how people like Comey and Brennan weren't also arrested for lying to congress.

I don't know but after over 50 straight nights of violence in the streets, alot of people should be arrested. How do you know they weren't on surveillance tapes or were witnessed doing criminal activities?
1 up, 4y
It would be a tall order to find a non-biased person in any trial that centers on politics. I do not think the ends justify the means but I definitely question the motive for this administrations and senate’s rather narrow focus on accountability in some areas while criminally ignoring it others.

According to the DOJ, they claimed that the raid and arrest of Stone’s household standard procedure. No doubt their intent was to also seek evidence while subduing the suspect to prevent him from destroying it.

Yes, I made a claim the other day that the FBI were probably investigating connections between BLM and the riots. I would like to hear more, of course but I wouldn’t go so far as to accuse either Stone or these civilians as criminals until more evidence is presented.

Also, do you know why Stone wasn't allowed to publicly defend himself?
0 ups, 4y
It is common to put a gag order on defendants who have a penchant to turn a trial into a media circus. Such as posting a picture of a federal judge with crosshairs of a gun drawn behind their head on Instagram.
