In reality those that have gotten revenge realize that they have become the monster and that nothing was fixed.

There's a difference between revenge and justice.

Everyone wants Justice as long as it's at someone else's expense.

The secret is to get over the anger quickly, to not let the crime consume your thoughts. Sure fight for justice, that's doing the right thing. But without the intense anger of revenge. That damages one's own soul.

Why else do people who got dumped eat ice cream? They plan their revenge....
