No, you sell it for what THEY think it's worth. It's not like you can sell it off to the highest bidder.

You can do just that. If you believe your education, time, and skills are valuable, then you can choose who you work. Just like you look for the best price on commodities, you can look for the best price on your labor. Up until the pandemic, businesses were being forced to raise wages to get the best labor they could find.

The problem for you is you can’t get what you think you are worth. Like any other item that’s overpriced it’s much harder to find a buyer. Or maybe you would pay 100,000 dollars for a Kia.

Yes, the intersection point is what they are willing to pay and what you are willing to accept. The issue is that many people overvalue their skills. Like the whole McDonald's $14 an hour thing. A machine or a trained animal could do your job, you can literally be replaced in 24 hours by someone that has never done your job at all. You are lucky you get $7.75 an hour.

Some employers also overvalue their compensation formthe work that is done.

I got way more than that. I'm retired now and reaping the benefits. So, y'all just keep paying your taxes.
