Same graph for illegitimate births. Multiple generations of welfare dependency.
Welcome to the liberal plantation.

Democrats were slave owners then and still are today. Their slaves are welfare recipients begging their massa for more benefits. Dems don't want their slaves to be free thinkers or they would lose power. Liberals buy into the lie and keep the plantation going while praising themselves for being compassion to the slaves.

Sowell is a very well regarded economist, author and social theorist.

What's racist about the chart or quote?

this graph also correlates to the rise of divorce that occurs to young people who are poor thanks to previous generations

Previous generations don't determine if someone is poor or not. (Not in America anyway.)

You are absolutely correct. Most millionaires in the US do not come from wealthy families. They earned their wealth, often through the kind of hard work that would make most snowflakes melt.

Some people are born into money, but it's only about 12% of millionaires that fall into that category.

For people attempting to attain wealth, the US is the greatest land of opportunity this planet has ever known, period.

If you're born into a poor family in a bad neighborhood and have no special opportunities, then it makes it harder to get a better job. Meanwhile, if you're born into a rich family, you can go to some fancy-ass school, and get a high paying job way more easily.

My parents started with basically nothing. (Neither had a college degree when they were married.) My mom had to bake bread to put food on the table, I had a bunch of siblings, and it wasn't easy for them. My dad rose through the ranks of the military through sheer hard work, eventually reaching a very high position. When we children would move out, we started just about ground up. We're all doing well. You can overcome circumstances. Just need the gumption to do it.

Unless we're talking just-moved-out young, though if someone isn't ready to marry for good he shouldn't marry.

It was democrat policies that incentivized the single parent home. Try reading a book before you start yapping.
