Nope. It's not true at all.

Some companies, not Target or Walmart, are leaving. The biggest one being a manufacturing company called 7-Sigma. Chicago's mayor is pleading that Walmart and other companies not leave but Walmart nor Target have made any such announcements yet.

So, the whole thing is false.

I would rebuild only if the following conditions are met:

The store gets to keep all city/county/state sales tax receipts for 10 years.
They impose a 3% fee collected on all sales, even on items not taxed by the state.
The city agrees to take out a $20 million dollar insurance policy for any and all damage done in future protests
2 ups, 5y
That last one is not a bad idea, assuming you could find an insurer willing to take on the risk

I'll be honest, I haven't researched this, but I sincerely doubt those companies would be obvious about it. Instead they will quietly close down individual locations one at a time due to "low performance" until there are none left.
Broadcasting that you are protecting yourself from future damage would be "clearly racist" (somehow).

When this was a thing a week ago and did some research then, target is closing some stores around the country but these closing decissions were made months ago. All Canadian targets have been closing the last couple years, they didn't last long here. The CEO of target even put out a statement after the Minneappolis riot vowing to return and supported the movement.

But target's headquarters is in Minneapolis

Looks like Atlas is about to shrug!

(For those who haven't yet read "Atlas Shrugged", now would be a good time.)

Walmart, Target, and some businesses are not leaving the city at all. Nor is Frey pleading with Walmart and Target not to leave. That is fake news.

What is happening, and has been reported, is that 7-Sigma, a manufacturing company that has been located in Minneapolis for over thirty years is leaving. That is one. Are there others? Perhaps. Target and Walmart are not among them.

It is unlikely all businesses can simply just pick up and go. And Walmart and Target have only temporarily closed locations with plans to re-open.

Maybe, but Chicago is worried.

Minneapolis and Frey are not in Illinois nor are they in Chicago, so the meme is definitely inaccurate. Walmart and Target have definitely made no claim that they are leaving either Chicago or Minneapolis.

There was anothe meme by spurs made the front page full of mistruths and fakse facts but it has become more clear to me that actual facts don't really matter here.

Minneapolis may now be worse than Chicago.

I wouldn't dare accuse Perspicacity of lying. After all, if they read it from OAN, I could see why they might've gotten some of their facts wrong.

Rule number one of all animals in the world, they instinctively know.... don't shit where you eat! This seems to be an unknown concept to some.
0 ups, 5y
Rule number two, of course, is that animals do not believe everything on the internet. They largely ignore it. So, when fake news like this comes along, it rarely affects them.

Crazy. Why didn't they have the national guard clean house after the 1st day of rioting? Something is very fishy with all this.
