Imho, I disagree with both protests, but I disagree with the Floyd protests more. Many of the conservative protestors were protesting about trivial and asinine things like getting a haircut and going to Applebee’s. However, others were protesting because the government did jackshit while their businesses were being closed. For these people, I think their anger is misguided because it should be towards the government for not doing enough to help them survive. The most important thing is, the protests were peaceful. This is contrasted with the Floyd protestors who violently burned businesses and looted stores which had nothing to do with the actual murder. The riots only make them look bad and is counterproductive in solving tensions between police and the black community. As a leftie, I’m tired of liberals completely dismissing the conservative protestors and completely defending the Floyd protestors.

People were protesting the lockdown because they lost their livelihood and businesses that took a lifetime to build. It is not trivial. I happen to support the lockdown. I also support justice for Floyd. The irony is how quickly social distancing didn't matter when it was an issue to protest that was more important to the left. African-Americans are dying at a higher rate from Covid-19. For politicians to be endorsing mass gatherings like this, when there is evidence that justice is being served, is just irresponsible and does more damage to the black community. Shame on them.

There were some people who were protesting trivial things but many others were protesting legitimately was my point.

I never attended a Covid Protest... apparently "I'm essential"...lol

But I supported them Not to Get a haircut nor to get Applebees...
Short hair, long hair, Bald when i hit 50, I'll get by w/ some funky bed head... and Frak Applebee's they're slightly above average 'pub grub' at well above average Prices...

I want them Open because I know people who worked there, who WANT To get back to work the longer the doors are locked, the longer the doors are locked (not a typo) and the less likely they will EVER open...

I don’t support violent protests.

But

If you are someone who belittled and ignored Kaepernick’s peaceful protests of systemic racism, and called him a traitor and all the rest, then you don’t have great standing to complain when people escalate their protests of racism to a level that will cause you to listen.

Hmm I don’t recognize those direct quotes you fabricated

Anywho

Here are a few genuine thoughts on the relationship between riots and social inequity, from a man who’s thought longer and harder about such things than you or I

If MLK was a good leader on race issues, where’s the issue with my quoting him?

Here’s another one for you to knock out of the park

Or not

Oh God, this is good.

I’m not making you be anything and I never sought your advice

I have merely given you several opportunities to clearly condemn the police officer’s conduct, and you’ve whiffed every time

Pulling out every trick in the book from false equivalence to unsupported SJW-like “racism” allegations against me to making it needlessly personal

Okay man

It’s your life, I can’t live it for you

But in the meantime, I’m having a blast

Re: opportunities, etc.

Which knee is the problem?

Pretty easy one for most folks

No, all you did was hurl a few paragraphs of incoherent invective at me with copious and unsupported overuse of the word “racist,” the way an actual SJW might do

So if you want to try to explain what the hell you are saying here you can

A man kneeing in an act if respect to a flag is not as bad as an officer of the law, charged with protecting people and so on, choking someone with their knee.

Sure politically Kap might have done something bad, in your eyes, but to compare it to someone choking someone else to death is just... Without integrity

Ah I see. Sass is difficult to Transfer

"I didn't "accept" reason, son...you didn't understand what I said in the first place. And, rather than exercising self-control and asking what I meant by "it's both"

Did you... did you just call me Son? XD

"you melted down and allowed yourself to be manipulated by someone else into thinking I said something I did not."

Well It seems to me that you think someone keening in respect to a Falg and out of protest is as bad as someone killing someone else via knee. Thats how I see your "Both are bad" statment /Shrug/

".is that you didn't disagree with me in the first place. That's what "correct" meant: I was agreeing with you. You didn't "reason" with me and convince me to change my mind...there was nothing to change "

Sure doesnt seem that way from where I am standing

Lol... the point of putting these photos side by side is precisely to show that the comparison is not apt.

Timber said they were both at fault, and is now trying to backpedal out of that it appears.

Timber is an interesting fellow. Try not to let him waste too much of your time.

And I remember what you told me once before. You surround yourself with only people who agree with you on this stream, and anyone who doesn't agree gets reprimanded for being un-American or some bullshit. When insults don't work, as they don't on me, you provide evidence that does not make any sense and calling people racist.

Which knee is worse? Second one. The first picture is legal from what the right cites ALL the time. Know what it is? THE FIRST AMENDMENT. In case you wondering, that is freedom of speech.

Look, I know you are smart. When you first commented on a meme of mine, you constructed logical arguments with evidence that created a point for your side. But you don't have to call Democrat VOTERS stupid and retarded, okay?

I think that this should be my quote: "Poison is always welcome!"

i do, in fact, have a massive standing because there is NO WAY ON EARTH that arson, theft, terrorism, and mass vandalism by some random collage students is justifiable as a "consequence" for ignorance. if there are people who chose not to change their worldview because someone told them to, OH. STINKIN'. WELL. protesters are not our gods. besides, how is attacking random, innocent business owners who had nothing to do with it supposed to make us listen to them about morality?

putting the actions of one cop on the general public is an example of why socialism doesn't work.
