And what caused the "mass consumerism" of "the Reagan Era"? It was the disaster of the liberal policies of Jimmy Carter. Liberal policies gave us 15% inflation, unemployment, and a general despair about the future. The Reagan era was a time of hope not just for us, but for the whole world.
