Leave it to Lady deer fart to create another meme in the great tradition of a long line of memes, based completely out of ignorance.
Poor deer fart, you're the type of person who doesn't understand that a one-size-fits-all approach, crafted by liberals as nothing more than a power grab, is damaging to not just the economy, but the livelihood of many people who are not affected by the virus as severely as places like NYC.
Consider this: the definition of livelihood is means of securing the necessities of life.
You can't just take that away for people who are hardly affected by this virus. The science doesn't dictate that it's necessary.
If it did, why are some states that had no shelter in place orders, even less affected than most of the states, even similar size states (in terms of population density) that had no shelter in place orders? What about Sweden? No lock down there. As liberals are fond of saying, locking everyone and every place down in the same way, is absolutely not following the science.
Your meme ignores the very real suffering, and even deaths, of those adhering to the lock down. We're hypocrites to not put this in perspective and admit that we, as a culture and a society, have made many decisions in which we trade human lives for the perceived greater good.
We hear people justify the shutdown by starting their sentences with something like "if it even saves even one life...", but any reasonable person knows that's all crap. If we took that approach seriously, we'd all be driving down the highway at 15 mph, because it would save thousands of lives every year.
What if, when it's all said and done, the number of lives lost due to the shutdown, exceeds the number of lives that would have been lost had we done nothing more about the virus than isolate those at risk, employ social distancing, and advocated for common sense things like regular hand washing, and not touching our own faces? Possible exceptions being places like NYC.
At some point, we have to consider our country as a whole, and get it up and running. The loss of human life is likely already very real due to this shutdown. The loss of human livelihoods is provably real.
It is time to start opening up the country, if at all possible. Not everywhere, but in many places, it makes sense, and the science cannot be used to deny that.
