Tax return is the precursor to receiving a payment. The info available says they're going by taxes filed in 2019. If you didn't file taxes in 2019, you don't get a payment.

You can still file a paper return and request a paper check.

I have a guy I work with that, between he and his wife, makes over $150,000/yr. They do not use a bank or credit cards. No debit cards. They physically go to the bank and cask their checks every two weeks. It's all based on an ignorant fear that the bank is going to "steal" their money.

Did they say that fear is the basis for this behavior? Do you know if they have any debt? They wouldn't from credit cards, obviously. There's a movement to live debt free, no matter what. I wonder if they adhere to that as well, because those folks have no need for credit cards, although some do have bank accounts and associated debit cards.

He has to travel occasionally with coworkers and has THEM purchase flights, hotels, and rental cars on THEIR credit cards so he can reimburse them in cash later.

Congress had enough votes to implement it without his signature, but that's not the way they went. Trump signed it, so he's involved. The money is now tainted, and you're obligated to feel guilty while having your asshole bleached.
