Thank you, NinjaDogma!! You did assume my gender though, lol. Born and raised the old-fashioned way (as a girl and not changing...) :)

Good thinking | BRILLIANT | image tagged in good thinking | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
Despite those who seem to want to sit back and poke holes in the ideas of others simply for kicks, or perhaps to further their own pet issue, this quote embodies my position about many things and it is nice to know that there are those who agree.

Who said I was offended?

My point was that I whole heartedly agree with the perspective of the meme. Yes, I took a swipe in passing at those who who troll or play some teenage game of "not always!" But I'm not offended by it.

Are you offended by my challenge of their challenge? Does the right to criticize not extend to criticism of the critic?

I'm not trying to suppress free speech, but I do not believe anyone has to give serious consideration to half hearted objections intended to game the system.

Timber1972 and deadboxprime, you both appear to be 'brilliant men' and I am impressed. I checked out your memes and consequently followed both of you today. I think we have a case of toxic masculinity going on and as much as I love it, I am calling "time out" for two WAY sharper than the average bears here. Timber, I think you poked the bear first as deadbox made a "brilliant" meme and was calling out liberals who poke holes in the ideas of others. He had my back just as you did earlier when you took out the trash for me. Please shake hands, go to your corners, and check those testosterone levels. I do have to admit though, that it is refreshing to note that there are still men around and not boys (as in the Gillette ads)....:)

Ok, could you two Alphas agree to disagree but shake hands and move forward in our quest to support the #1 Alpha male, Donald J. Trump, in November?

Timber, two alpha males but you struck first....let's just all be friends as we are ON THE SAME
PAGE. I am happy to interact with people who "get it"....the rest doesn't matter! #TRUMP2020 MA*GA Make Alpha Males Great Again!

I agree. Except the billion dollar homosexual agenda is forcing their stuff into every tv show and movie ever made. I don't care what people do behind closed doors, but I don't want to be forced to watch it.

This is totally supported in the statement in the meme that "It's only when people FORCE their ways on others that problems begin." I agree with every word of your statement, lokiaire, except for the word "Except". It specifically identifies the problem with Progressives as they FORCE others to accept their ideas or they will steal your Trump hat or signage, push you to support trans people reading to children in libraries (or risk being called a bigot or homophobe), or try to get you fired from your job if you say something online that THEY don't consider "politically correct".

I am all for wishing a happy honeymoon for a gay couple but just don't push it down the throats of heterosexuals by suing a bakery because they won't make you a cake when you can go down the street and find 12 places that will be more than happy to do so for you.

While I agree some things that are immoral shouldn't be illegal, doesn't mean I'll accept those things as ok. Things that do harm others (like abortion or gay adoption) I do believe should be illegal.

Morally, I agree with you, Inaren. 'Late term' abortion is especially heinous and is painful to even imagine it. I would never consider it as an option for myself but I think others feel differently and the law is on their side. Same thing with gay adoption.
2 ups, 4y
Just because the law is on their side doesn't mean we shouldn't try to change the law to be right. Glad we can agree. :)

As an atheist, that means a lot to me cause my friends sometimes try and get me into their own religion and I don't like that.
2 ups, 4y,

I pretty much never talk about religion because everyone has their own ideas on it and none of us
ACTUALLY knows the veracity of it....only our own personal truth. I don't judge people by their religion, I do judge people by their behavior. If you are a good person and treat others as you would like to be treated, that is all I need to know about you. I think you need some new friends, Captain...:)

Aw, thanks, matey, thar' means a lot to me. My friends are all great people, jus' one is Christain and tries to get me to go to her church and my parents want me to start goin' as well, but I really don't want to, it can take out valuable time for school stuff and sorts and I jus' like being an atheist all together, I am fine with it, as some people are REALLY strict with religion n' all, so, yeah. And thanks fer' jus' callin' me Captain, too many people call me by my full username, lol, but jus' keep callin' me Captain or ye can call me Ememeon.

Ok, Captain, you probably don't realize that I am very close to you in my way of thinking about religion. We are not that close re politics as you don't seem to be a Trump supporter but that is fine. Since I am very conservative, most people assume I would be religious. Far from it as I was just raised by the Golden Rule with no background in religion. I do not lie, cheat on my husband, steal or any of the other bad things one can do. I guess you could call me a chicken atheist, an agnostic.

I do believe in a 'live and let live' attitude as per my meme. I am thinking that if you try to always be a good person and treat others well, I am sure you will make your mom & dad proud. As for your girlfriend (or friend who is a girl), she probably likes you and wants you to go to church with her. :) If you are comfortable being you, I think it takes a lot of strength to rely upon yourself and take the path less followed. Carry on, Captain...

This meme sounds great, but now certain groups of people increasingly rely on corporate America to punish their political opponents because the Constitution doesn't allow the government to do so for them.

Silicon Valley censorship of conservatives, Hollywood producing woke trash entertainment, Mainstream media going Orange Man bad. Those are just a few examples.

True, corporations don’t have the same power as government. However, they do still have power, especially if they are basically a monopoly like the Silicon Valley tech companies are. Sure you don’t have to have a Twitter or Facebook, or use anything Google created. However, there just isn’t any viable competition. Social media platforms like Minds and Gab can’t hold a candle to Facebook and Twitter, and while Google the search engine has plenty of decent competition, the rest of Google, like YouTube and Google Office Apps, have basically a monopoly. It’s not the government and its power, but it’s the next best thing. That’s why I say they are dangerous.

That is not the Constitution problem that is your local State problem.

Valid point. Tech companies like Twitter, Google, and Facebook and their censorious behavior come to mind. Beto O’Rourke calling on credit card companies to ban gun sales is another good example.
