Well, 'LadyDearHeart', if by seek an education, you mean learn how to spell "pathological", then I've got that box checked already. I normally don't attack based on typos, but you guys took the gloves off, not me.

And when it comes down to who to trust, I'd trust the CDC all day long over the WHO. Those countless medical professionals you refer to, just can't seem to put their politics to the side, in order to do what's best for peoples' health.

And yes, it is a question if you already know the answer. In fact, unless you're in pure info gathering mode, it's best not to ask a question unless you already know the answer.

Whatever you do, don't keep your day job in the educational field.

I can see why a Trumpubliklan asstroll would keep blaming Obama everytime Trump screws up but the fact of the matter is Obama didn't vote for the catastrophe in office. The electoral college did.

There are plenty of legitimate things to criticize him for, so why are you guys always crying wolf? Most intelligent people (well, that leaves you out) just tune it out after a while.

Come on Vagabond, you're better than this. Step by step, Trump involved the best experts on the matter he could gather much sooner than other world leaders. He immediately implemented their recommendations and banned entry from China and instituted a quarantine program so that US citizens could come home and get treatment if they needed it among numerous other measures to protect health.
What did the press do? They criticized Trump because the experts were all white. WTF? Political China is seldom truthful, so as small bits of information trickled out the administration made adjustments. With support from the CDC and other agencies, a private company fast tracked an innovative vaccine that doesn't require the time required for vaccines based on live virus cultures, and the testing for that vaccine has been fast tracked within the bounds of safe practices. As the face of the administration working on the potential for a widespread epidemic, Trump got ripped politically by Schumer, Pelosi and others who sought to benefit politically by saying "Dumb, idiot, too late, incompetent, killer bigot homophobe racist misogynist hater Nazi, narcissistic greedy enriching Russian agent liar gonna kill us all Trump to create panic and delude the public. Guess what? More people died from driving and texting than have died from Covid-19 since we became aware of it. More people have died from the flu in that same time period, more people have died from falls.
You are better than this, that's why I've developed respect for your opinions. Get your helpful advice from the CDC website, from your local health department, from your doctor. The Surgeon General and Trump's band of idiots have made that available as soon as they knew what they were dealing with and update it as knowledge is increased.
I hate the propgandistic media, I hate Democrats (and Mitt Romney) who are willing to say anything they think might hurt Trump, even if it hurts the citizens of the US. I hate Chuck Schumer for his acidic self serving rhetoric.

I've not witnessed Trump's resonse characterized in quite those terms, just that it was basically lagging and inefficient. I've not looked into it and everyone else's actions to get specific enough about it otherwise.

Thing is, I wasn't really being sarcastic, just a bit glib maybe, but in line with what you said, because that's what their advice boils down to. Like whose going to lick their own hands after some sick person coughed on them and then have a big block party?

Fact is there isn't much we can do, unless mass quarantines, declaring martial law, halting international & interstate trade, and handing out hazmat suits to everyone is feasible.

Every couple of years they come out with another swine/bird/Hong Kong Flu from that bucolic isle that's supposed to wipe everyone out, them it's forgotten only to be renamed the next time it pops up. What the heck is Hong Kong anyways, one big stock market? Maybe vacation in Macau instead and no more end of the world epidemics.

This, however, being a bit of a different disease and new, has got me a bit spooked.
Perhaps we can persuade these people that eating pangolin testes and hornbill fecal soup is just not that vital, especially since it's making them sick instead of curing whatever ails them, nor has any of it rivaled what Viagra can do.

As always I appreciate your insights so I can see things from a different perspective. Virtually all of the mortality from coronavirus is age 60 and up, primarily those with compromised respiratory or immune systems. I had the good fortune of developing a rare case of adult onset asthma, so you could say I have a vested interest in this and truthful reporting of the virus.
I don't subscribe to conspiracy theories but there is one that might have some merit regarding this. Wuhan is where the Chinese government has it's national virology lab, and it is thought that some researchers accidentally contracted the virus then exposed the general population inadvertently. It's fairly well known this same lab is their center for biological weaponry and defense from biological weapons.
All the attacks against Trump and Pence are based on such blatantly false accusations that I question the motives and conclude that there are people who are more intent on smearing Trump for political reasons alone that no lie is too large anymore. It is so absurd that there are some who accuse him of appointing himself dictator for life and then they ready for the next election.
Lady Deer Heart is one of the gross purveyors of these grand lies. How this person can put lying about anything surrounding this virus with any kind of conscience is beyond belief, but believe she does. Every meme she posts is a propaganda hit piece.
