Coronavirus Fatality Rate stats

Remember 100 years ago, the Spanish Influenza killed 50 million worldwide out of a population of 2 billion. It seemed to attack and kill younger (15-35) people more than older.

I’m not that old, yet! It’s safe to believe that the Spanish influenza occurred naturally; it was not a product of a scientific lab. So far the overall mortality rate is about the same as the Spanish influenza. Society survived then; it will now.

You still have a 6 out of 7 chance of surviving!

Not to be alarmist but these are the same people who denied it even existed for months, refused to hand over information on it, their government may have had a hand in making it and the only people who think China is doing even a reasonable job are people in the w h.o who are paid off by China to say it..

Haha, maybe. Definitely a good excuse to round up people who are giving the ChiComms a hard time by pushing for basic human rights etc. You see no Hong Kong protests and similarly in Iran it no longer has street protestors either nor internally of China. It still appears to be most effective upon the Chinese/Asian Genome but it isn't necessarily a Chinese plot or i think you meaning created virus. It would appear to be created, enhanced but by who? It seems possible to point at culprits but that will come later.

But back to things we do know, I think the numbers from everywhere show that those under 15 are not being infected but this may be under reporting in China and as most international travellers will be adult aged it will be interesting if the numbers stay as low as they have at that end once it has a chance of spreading in Western Populations.

Other takes on data from the world numbers that can be seen everywhere is that if you experience symptoms which are not extreme (shallow breathing, elevated vital signs) you should stay at home out of the hospital system and out of public interaction and the infection will pass. Only visit emergency rooms if extreme symptoms appear. Otherwise you are risking spreading the virus and also getting the virus where you may have had something other than this.
And that those people above 70 who experience extreme symptoms have the highest mortality rates followed by health care workers.

The majority of people on this site are the most at risk.
