Can someone please explain how wanting to raise taxes on yourself is hypocritical

Sanders income and net worth probably isn’t actually in the 1%

Just googled his tax returns, this is the first year he's made enough to be in the 1%.

That may have been 2018 since his book sold. Before that he wasn't and since that...? I doubt it.

He could just use his own money to pay for it... without the higher taxes on all the rich people

If he believes in it so much, what's stopping him from chipping in more, without a tax increase being mandated by law?
