Doesn't the government already control Medicaid, and Veterans healthcare?

Meaning.. if you want additional healthcare, you can pay for it?

Meaning, if you want to get off of both and buy your own insurance you can. Medicaid and Medicare are also private as far as doctors go. These programs just pay for the care. In places like the UK, the government dictates and fully controls your healthcare. There are no private options. They can basically decide if you live or die. That’s the kind of healthcare system Democrats want for America.

So the government funds the programs Medicaid/Medicare.. idk how is that different than controlling it...? Seems healthcare would be cheaper without insurance companies taking a cut.
