My parents got the soundtrack to Joseph etc... So I know that one the most.

I mean, I really liked Starlight Express but then they ruined it by making it "more modern". I did like Lion King even though you probably wouldn't understand it without having seen the movie first. But I think my favorite has to be Wicked.
And I'm only counting the ones I've seen on an actual stage, not the movie adaptations.

Yeah I've seen Lion King and listened to Wicked. All good

Yeah, I think Starlight Express might be a German thing... I mean it came from England but since it got here in 1988 it's basically continuously shown and probably most people who grow up near here have seen it at least once in their lives. And this is a musical that doesn't transform well onto the screen - it's kinda important that you're sitting within the action. 😅

There are a few recordings as well. But try to get an older one from the 80s or late 90s at the latest. They've tried to "update" the musical a few times along the way and it completely lost its story underneath in the process...

Yeah that must suck as a fan of the older

Yeah... it worked so well in its time but now it's just about people on rollerskates and none of the music even fits in anymore. I'm kinda sad my daughter only ever got to know the newest version... Maybe I'll watch an old recording with her when she can appreciate the difference.

I'm not a huge fan of musicals, but of the ones I've seen, The Music Man was pretty good, and West Side Story was ok.

Ooooooh! It's been awhile since I've seen The Music Man, but I remember it being good. West side story is good, too. Nice choices

a heist with markiplier, not technically a musical but it did have a musical number so i guess it counts.
