Feline leukemia. He'd had it since before I started working there 4 years ago.
I used to joke he must be using a cheat code, cuz he's used more than 9 lives. He would disappear for a day or two or three (one time he vanished for 2 months straight), and we were always sure we'd never see him again, but he always came back.
