And all the block button does is hide comments like when they're downvoted. You still see the user you blocked, just all their comments say, "comment hidden."

Let's hope it stays that way.

I think this is long overdue. Mostly because I have had instances of being harassed, and I do not mean a political disagreement. I mean some one actually following me from comment section to comment section maliciously harassing me and threatening violence against me. I deleted that account and made this one to escape the person. Shouldn't have to do that. Reporting the guy did nothing. He was allowed to freely attack me as much as he liked. There have been others leave because they had similar issues.

That being said,if people can't handle the political debate or argument or whatever then they should not engage. That seems to be what fuels some of these trolls. One guy was carrying on about being "bullied" yet there he was, literally asking for it by attacking other people and trolling the snot out of them first. Then he cried about being attacked and blah blah blah. You can't win in this thing. You just can't.

The mods on this site are lax on just about everything and have been ever since I can remember. They never answer you in the feedback section, even when you post your email address. They specifically state of you want an answer send your email and I never get any answers.

I've never had anyone harass me to that extent so I wouldn't know. I have had users downvoted me a lot, but I just shrugged it off and eventually they left. That kind of stuff is sad and is sad that there are people who abuse others like that.

The only reason this site has become less fun for me is all the 10-15 year old kids who have bombarded this site recently with their incoherent memes and whiny attitudes. I hadn't realized kids today we're this whiny until I've witnessed them first hand. Wow, kids have become a bunch of whiny brats over the past generation.

I received ONE response. I sent feedback about doing something about the comment timer. Dylan responded to that one. I was shocked, and even more shocked that they actually removed the timer. The shock will never wear off I think. LOL

Yeah... the younger ages have flooded in. A precious few are mature beyond their age. But not many. And we all tend to meme our life experience. So they are in here meming about farting in class we have bigger fish to fry. The age gap is an issue for me here and there for sure. Though I haven't been around as much the past few months because I have been dealing with things out here.... still.

Not sure if i would recognize the name after all this time or not. They deleted at some point, or maybe they finally got removed for their harassing folks. I don't care honestly anymore, but I do think the block option is good for this purpose. I can't think of anyone I would want to block at this moment.

I think if people do not want to see him in his draws they should be able to avoid his images. I don't necessarily like seeing him in his underwear, but we have become friends nonetheless.

You assume I somehow knew about your friend's encounter. If he is going after minors those minors should report him. Not that they ever do anything about it as I mentioned earlier, but still. Though now he can be blocked. So I would suggest blocking him, or any other similar user.

Thanks for sharing that. I have given him a piece of my mind in the past about posting his images in comments to people who may not want or need to see them. But aside from just blocking there is really no other way to avoid his shenanigans. He knows better but carries on nonetheless.

It's easy to ignore the "haters." No need to block them. There has always been a :report user" feature if you feel intimidated.

No, I don't want to block anyone anyway, but I am glad they made it, as my friends have had to deal with hate commenters.

Some people aren't as mentally stable as others, people have different limits

I won’t use it to block commenters. But I might use it to filter out some of the garbage in the New submissions list.
