Wow, that's some seriously crazy linkage you're attempting to make... without any evidence to support what is just your opinion. Stating your opinion as fact, does not make it a fact.
Other rich-world countries with low to virtually zero gun deaths per year show that it can be done, but it would need to be nationwide and far more rigorous than the patchwork of totally inconsistent local laws we have today
Crazy stat: The U.S. has something like half the firearms in the entire world, much of them privately owned. We’re simply awash in guns. What happens when that happens? Lots of gun deaths.
Our per capita rate of gun ownership is off the charts compared to other countries. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Estimated_number_of_civilian_guns_per_capita_by_country
Virtually no crime?
They started having separate train cars in Tokyo for women to prevent men from copping feels and dry humping them. In quite streets at night, men masturbate to passing women (including tourists) in full view. Pedophile comics are sold in shops, and there's a whole tradition to go with that. The Yakuza (which also runs pedo rings) makes the Mafia look like Red Cross volunteers.
Well, yeah, there are alot of perverts, fair enough, but you can leave your wallet on a city bench and it's unlikely to be touched. You're not likely to be assaulted, robbed, carjacked etc. Of course, the Yakuza takes advantage of that.
Like some dude who works at the local RiteAid said to a customer once, "Anything new you can think of in porn has already been done by the Japanese and three times worse"
I haven't checked if you replied to one of my previous posts. (I'm not so arrogant to believe you should!) However, I would ask again how the methods used for gun control in those countries could be scaled up to work in a country the size of the US? And yes, without trampling our 2A rights.
It was a good question, and I did reply, almost instantly :)
And inspired me to post in the PoliticsTOO stream as well
The Second Amendment is an obstacle, no way around that. I just learned today that we are one of only 3 countries in the world that guarantees a right to own guns.
The way I look at this, gun rights and a true commitment to lowering gun deaths are, sadly, just fundamentally incompatible goals.
The comparisons of countries I’ve looked at have convinced me that when you have more guns floating around, you get more death. Less guns, less death.
If we’re unwilling to compromise on the principle that owning guns is a fundamental right, then I feel voluntarily relinquishment of firearms is the only way to achieve this.
The fact / stats about guns is our ammo . The climate and country’s with guns is the reason for assault weapons . The attitude that a bunch of suit and tie robo txt laws should keep us ALL safe is pure fabrication. Look at your social media accounts , each one is banning guns pics gun videos and yet online violence is on the rise.
As a felon you don’t need any laws you just take whatever illegal firearm you can get . Open those boarders and here comes a million more guns.
Free up the rice and guns in Japan and you have pornos with ak47 shoved up your ass .
I got a gun between my legs and it shoots n out baby’s and these governments fuks want me to stop that as well ! Get on the side of freedom ! Live how you want in America . Smoke me taint !
In Britain after disarming, gun violence went down but overall violence went up. Now they ban kitchen knives for under 18 yos. Even plastic butter knives.
