Okay, I see your point. And of course, the War Powers Act was absolutely intended to keep us out of another war like Vietnam, but as feckless as it is, couldn't do anything about Afghanistan. But, is something like what Trump did truly considered "war"? Yes, we're still stuck in Iraq and unbelievably still in Afghanistan, and of course this is tied to those wars, but my $0.02 is that it wasn't war. Let's say we could agree that it is, all he has to do is comply with the requirements of the War Powers Act, and he's done, right?. Or is he? He could argue that the troops in Iraq are there based on the the 2002 congressional authorization to use military force against Iraq, which I don't recall had any term. I could be wrong about that. It's a messy situation, no matter what the perspective.
