Taxes are the dues you pay to live in civilization. Like driving on those roads? They ain't cheap. Do you like that big powerful military? Soldiers & Marines don't work for free. And that equipment costs a fair bit.

No. You are forced to live in a civilization and forced to pay taxes. Go ahead and try living in a forest and living off of hunting, fishing and permaculture (if you manage to find an inhabitable forest in the firat place, that is). See how fast you'll end up in jail for 'tax evasion'.

Yeah, I think if you live in the wild, you should be tax exempted.

Free people in a Republic do NOT pay income taxes. A country at peace does not need the cost of massive standing armies, that's what required military service and militias are for. Government should be small and survive on import taxes, taxes on corporations, and taxes on certain goods. Local and state governments can organize paving roads, which they do. Governments provide zero jobs or benefits for citizens, and do not deserve to steal their hard earned wealth.

The military isn't defending our country, its destroying other countries and defending corporations. And quit paving my f-ing roads!!!
