I do tend to think comments sections should be more open to disagreeing viewpoints.

I doubt it's really possible to "de-radicalize" him. He'll just keep on posting this violent Neo-Nazi shit unless we can convince the mods to do something. My fear is that his shit normalizes violent political discourse here on ImgFlip, toward Democrats specifically.

There's a good debate to be had about free speech vs. hate speech. I don't believe that upholding "free speech," or even tolerating hate speech, requires us to tolerate death threats. On the contrary: such threats impede productive and respectful political discourse. They shut down debate. At worst, such speech encourage people to actually commit violence against others or kill themselves.

The purgerer violates of TOS and should be banned. However, you can get around bans with a VPN and alts.
