"Free speech" doesn't mean tolerating hateful violent garbage like this when such speech has the net effect of suppressing speech and driving people away

I consider telling someone to commit suicide as basically a death threat. People can and have done so in the past after being bullied online. You never know what someone else's mental health situation is.

That has nothing to do with whether it's actually violence.

If the roles were reversed, and the republicans were in as bad a position as the dems are now, and then the inverse of that meme were posted, then yeah, I suppose republicans might be just as butthurt about it as dems are about this one.

But being butthurt about what is essentially a "gloat" meme still doesn't mean the meme is itself violent.
