There was a senator once - I think from New Hampshire or something? His only platform was term limits for senators - that's all he wanted to do, he openly didn't care about any other issue, and he got it - people loved it and voted him into the Senate.

Came the day his six year term was up and he ran for re-election on the same issue: he explained that six years just wasn't enough to make the connections and build the experience he needed to push his own legislation forward. He needed another term to keep trying.

Irony being something his constituents did not understand, they actually gave it to him.

It is highly doubtful that anyone pushing for Term Limits is telling the truth. There is no way congress would ever allow a bill containing such limitations to go through without appealing it.

If this alone allows you to vote Democrat, even if it was the only thing he promised to do, then you are as gullible as a Trump Supporter.

Article V is not the same thing as imposing congressional term limits.

I totally agree A job as a senator or representative was actually meant to be temporary when all of this was drafted in the late 1700s, but as forethinking as the drafters were, they forgot to include term limits. And I'm afraid no comfortable, fat and happy congressman would ever vote to end his own job in 2 to 6 years. This is a foot through the door for Steyer. They prey, those Dems.
